En 1967, Texaco-Gulf anunci\u00f3 el descubrimiento de reservas de petr\u00f3leo en la Amazon\u00eda ecuatoriana. Sin embargo, este evento marc\u00f3 el inicio de una serie de desastres ambientales graves que lamentablemente nunca se han remediado, causando da\u00f1os irreparables a las comunidades locales.<\/p>

Las provincias de Orellana y Sucumb\u00edos se encuentran en la zona principal de influencia de esta actividad petrolera. A pesar de varios acuerdos en los que PetroEcuador y las corporaciones transnacionales se comprometieron a utilizar las tecnolog\u00edas m\u00e1s seguras disponibles en ese momento, estas promesas nunca se materializaron. En los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os, Petroecuador ha continuado utilizando estrategias de divisi\u00f3n y generando conflictos internos en las comunidades ind\u00edgenas y colonas para obtener concesiones para nuevos pozos petroleros, lo que ha resultado en una continua degradaci\u00f3n de los bosques y la propagaci\u00f3n de enfermedades catastr\u00f3ficas debido a la contaminaci\u00f3n de los suelos y r\u00edos.<\/p>

La introducci\u00f3n de la actividad hidrocarbur\u00edfera en las comunidades ind\u00edgenas Kichuas, Shuar, Waorani, Cofan y en las zonas intangibles del Parque Nacional Yasun\u00ed representa una amenaza para el futuro de las generaciones venideras y contraviene los derechos humanos y el derecho al buen vivir.<\/p>

A pesar de estos desaf\u00edos, las comunidades y los pueblos ind\u00edgenas estamos resistiendo y proponiendo alternativas sostenibles para preservar la salud de nuestros suelos, r\u00edos y la rica biodiversidad que habita en nuestros territorios ancestrales.<\/p>

El turismo y la producci\u00f3n de productos org\u00e1nicos representan una gran oportunidad para unir a nuestras comunidades y fomentar la conciencia en favor de la resistencia, al mismo tiempo que generan econom\u00edas m\u00e1s responsables que respetan nuestra cultura ancestral y la biodiversidad.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

En el cant\u00f3n 'La Joya de los Sachas' de la provincia de Orellana, se encuentra la comunidad kichua de San Carlos. Los miembros de esta comunidad han tomado la decisi\u00f3n de revitalizar sus costumbres y tradiciones, incorpor\u00e1ndolas al turismo de patrimonio cultural.<\/p>

'Panga Wassi' es un centro cultural que promueve la conservaci\u00f3n de sus tierras a trav\u00e9s de pr\u00e1cticas sostenibles, como la permacultura, la reforestaci\u00f3n y el ecoturismo.<\/p>

Los comuneros de Parutu Yaku son los administradores del Centro de Turismo Comunitario de Ila Kucha. A trav\u00e9s de esta iniciativa, han asumido el papel de guardianes oficiales de la selva, protegiendo la biodiversidad que habita en esta zona. La regi\u00f3n alberga una rica variedad de vida silvestre, que incluye dantas, jaguares, tigrillos, guatusas, sajinos, armadillos, as\u00ed como una amplia gama de aves, como tucanes, tangaras, colibr\u00edes, pavas, b\u00fahos y garzas, adem\u00e1s de numerosas especies de anfibios y reptiles, como caimanes, lagartijas gigantes y boas.<\/p>


Patricio, uno de los experimentados gu\u00edas tur\u00edsticos locales, se especializa en identificar la fauna nativa. Con sus binoculares en mano, se para en la canoa mientras rema y zigzaguea por las orillas de la laguna en busca de especies silvestres. No hace falta esperar mucho para encontrarse con parvadas enteras de aves que cruzan el cielo entre un \u00e1rbol y otro, o incluso un mono chorongo que observa con atenci\u00f3n a los visitantes desde la copa de un \u00e1rbol, mostrando sus tonos rojos bajo los rayos del sol.<\/p>


Aproximadamente a 1 hora y 20 minutos de navegaci\u00f3n hacia el sureste por el r\u00edo, se encuentra Illa Kucha, cant\u00f3n Francisco de Orellana, provincia de Orellana.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Los comuneros de Pompeya ha creado un lodge - Pashpanchu Lodge se encuentra en el parque nacional Yasuni. Para llegar a la comunidad El Pilchi son necesarias alrededor de dos horas de navegaci\u00f3n selva adentro por el r\u00edo Napo. Antes de llegar a uno de los corazones de la selva, la embarcaci\u00f3n pasa por Puerto Providencia, puerto amaz\u00f3nico de donde salen los buques cargados de petr\u00f3leo.
La comunidad El Pilchi est\u00e1 ubicada en la provincia de Sucumb\u00edos, muy cerca del Parque Nacional Yasun\u00ed, considerado como uno de los espacios que alberga la mayor megadiversidad del planeta. Su riqueza natural es notable. Impulsado por los comuneros quienes han decidido conservar y preservar su territorio impulsando el turismo como una fuerte resistencia hacia las actividades petroleras el cual son tentadas llegar para la explotaci\u00f3n.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

La Comuna Waorani \u00d1oneno se encuentra a unas 2 horas de navegaci\u00f3n por el r\u00edo Shiripuno desde la estaci\u00f3n de control del Ministerio de Ambiente en Shiripuno, en la provincia de Orellana. Esta comunidad es el hogar de una rica biodiversidad tanto en fauna como en flora. Su profunda riqueza cultural te brindar\u00e1 una experiencia aut\u00e9ntica.
\u00d1oneno ha optado por preservar su territorio y ha basado por completo su econom\u00eda en el turismo de experiencias vivenciales, aventuras e inmersi\u00f3n en la selva. Los 150 Huaorani que conforman la comunidad de Bameno desempe\u00f1an un papel fundamental como protectores de la selva amaz\u00f3nica en la regi\u00f3n de Ome Yasuni. Son guardianes no solo de la rica fauna y flora de la selva, sino tambi\u00e9n de las tradiciones ancestrales que han heredado de las antiguas civilizaciones amaz\u00f3nicas.
The wisdom of the elders, the knowledge of herbs, the art of hunting and fishing are essential components of their heritage. These aspects are valuable to the Bameno community, as they wish to not only preserve and protect them, but also share them with those who have an interest in the rich Amazonian cultures.<\/p>
